Tiffany M. Oharriz is a klutz of a girl that lives in Miami, FL and goes by the nickname Tipsy.

I've been reading and writing since childhood, sometimes unnintentionally annoying those around me with my ability to become so immersed in a book, whether it be one of my own or another author's masterpiece, that I ignore the world around me.

I'm currently working on a series of YA supernatural books titled ‘The Birth Curse Series’ and a chick-lit novel titled 'Knock Me Off My Choos'. Check the WIP tab for more info on my current projects!

Hello my lovelies,

I have been so extremely busy these last couple of months since I decided to getg my behind back in school and pursue dual degrees... It's been great but really time consuming so my writing took the biggest hit, my bad!

I'm currently working on a bunch of projects and I promise to post some excerpts when I get the ok on them.I've got a more mature WIP that's got some scenes written up and they are in the process of editing. My biggest problem with that guy is my own damn head lol, it's all over the place and I have a shit ton of scenes working their way around my already cluttered mind so it's not a fully fleshed out story.

This new title (which still has no name), when it's published can be found under the pseudonym Lulu T. Marie. I'm hoping to keep the two names seperate for the foreseeable future cause I have some impressionable youngins that don't need to accidentally pick those titles up. (Let's not corrupt the already corrupted youth anymore than necessary).

As for the Birth Curse Series... that's still being worked on but I hit a massive snag that forced me to go back to chapter 1 and re-work the whole thing. That gem is still my baby and I fully intend to publish that beauty in paperback as well as digitally. I've already gotten the ball rolling on that and will update you as frequently as I can. My other WIP took a back burner to B.C. and school because... I need a social life in order to write anything worth reading.

I appreciate all the unconditional love you amazing people have shown me even in my absence! The twitter love has been tremendous and to everyone promoting my freebies on instafreebie, you guys are too much <3

The Ocean Between Us...

Posted on May 30, 2016 at 10:45 PM

Hey guys!

So I know I've been all over the place an kind of MIA on all social media with the exception of reviews, so I'm extremely sorry! But I have a goodie for you, a brand new little something that I just wrote called 'The Ocean Between Us...'

Life has been a little weird. Had some ups and a lot of downs and I'm working on me during this little hiatus. My health also took a turn and I recently had to have an emergency surgery so that's another thing.

I know I could make a million promises to post more original work and excerpts from current projects but I kind of hit a mental road block with all the medical stuff that's been launched at me when my back was turned lol. So I won't make any promises on dates for much of anything. That means no schedules till I'm ready!

The only promises I'm willing to make are 1. That I won't ever stop writing, even if it means that I can only manage to finish a chapter/project a month and 2. That I will keep on keeping on. I'm to stubborn to let anything keep me down permanently.

I will say that I'm currently writing a lot and that is kind of recent, maybe a week or 2 of this and I'm really happy about that. There is still a lot to work on and a lot of projects that have just popped into my head recently and I apparently don't know how to pace myself. But anyways, I have no eta for either Knock Me off My Choos or Birth Curse book 1, all I'm willing to say is that a lot has been written and fleshed out and I am going to look into traditonal publishing for at least Birth Curse. I will of course keep you posted as things progess but that's about it.

Now for the good part.

Like I said, I've been writing a lot and I kind of fell in love with this heartbreaking poemish peice that I just penned not even 30mins ago so I thought I'd share it with all of you!

Without further ado.

The Ocean Between Us...

There's an ocean between us with frightening and crashing waves.
There's an eeriness about that I can't will away.

How can 2 people who know so much about each other,
Two souls that have spent so much time together, be such strangers.
We were once so close and physically you are no more then 7 steps away.
How can we be so distant?

There's an ocean between us,
It's rushing up our shores;
Threatening to pull me in.

Seeing each other daily but we're really far more than worlds apart.
Its gut wrenching to be so close to someone but drift so far away.
It hurts to choke back tears, to breathe through the pain.
We're closing more than just our physical doors.
The distance is real, tangible.
That feeling of loneliness, that helpless despair.

There's an ocean between us and I feel that distance overwhelming me.

You are right there but I can't even express my heartbreak
It will only divide us further.
You don't even notice the change,
Not until it affects you
That's when I become the villain,
The one who's different, who's cold,
The one creating the distance.

There's an ocean between us and I've lost sight of your shore.

There was a time not long ago when I could tell you anything,
Share everything
but that time has passed.
Is it the fear of losing my best friend,
The fear of losing my family that keeps me grasping at the shifting sand the waves keep washing away.
Am I an idiot for hoping things get better?
For the distance to shrink?
For a way to find that friendship we worked so hard to build?

Should I finally let the ocean that's separating us wash it all away?

Fin

So I hope you guys enjoyed it!

Thanks for stopping by,

You guys definitely deserve this!

So its a bit late for one and definitely no notice for the other but I figured you guys could use some teasers and an excerpt from both books ^_^ I'm really happy with the direction the stories are going so I'm kinda happy dancing around my room after posting those previews. As always your opinions are greatly appreciated and remember while theses previews are posted and ready for consumption, each book will go through rigorous edits so they may not be the same as the final version but the gist of it still stands.

I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I enjoyed righting them! Still no cover art for either but that has more to do with procrastination on my part. Make sure you guys are signed up for my free newsletter so you can get the prequel the Birth Curse Series for free and be the first to find out about my cover reveals and expected publication dates.

To find the excerpts and teasers just mosey on over to the Book Excerpts Tab and scroll through the newest ones. I've uploaded an excerpt from 'Gifted' from Part Two of Book One. And an added suprise is the teaser from Birth Curse and one from Knock Me off My Choos.

Thank you everyone for your support <3 you lots!

xoxo,

Oi Vey... Blog formating from hell.

Posted on November 22, 2013 at 4:05 AM

Ok so due to some formating issues with the company that hosts my website and this blog I've decided to slowly but surely move all book and movie reviews to my blogspot and wordpress. You can view each review on either site depending on your view preference but each site will have basically the same blogs.

With that said, I've also decided to keep this blog strictly Tipsy-Ink News. So anything pertaining to writing projects and what not will be posted via this blog! It's a simpler blog that barely accepts html so I was spending wayyyy more time then I should have formating reviews and giving myself a shit ton of headches. It was crazy and turned me into a grouch while on the computer lol. I literally had to add the html coding for fonts, on each line I wanted to change. When your dealing with a review you've already written it kinda makes it a hassle. Oh and then there is the whole no text box thing which is just ridiculous. If webs ever get back on the ball and starts working on this app I might consider using it again but as of right now it's way too simple for my taste.

But on the bright side. Now, I can spend the free time I have writting my own books and releasing teasers for you all :) I still encourage you to follow this blog via Bloglovin so you can get an email whenever I post something new! If your a linky user then you can follow that way too. I'm post the clickable follow links at the bottom of this blog post. Now if your interested in the schedule for any book review/cover reveals/book blitz/guest posts/inteviews for the time being you can find them on the right hand sidebar on this site. Once I've intergrated a calendar to my wordpress and blogger you can find them there.

Review submissions will continue to be done the same way, via the contact box under the tab contact or on the blog of your preference. For each blog there will be a page in the navigation entitled Book Reviews, the submission form is located on that page. You can navigate through all my pages pretty easily as they all have a way to get to the Tipsy-Ink website. I hope you continue to follow my blogs and stay tuned for updates on any Tipsy-Ink Project.

Also, I'm working on the edits for a short story series by Mike Antony Antonietti titled Plain Jane. I'll make sure to post on the blog once the buy links go live ^_^
